Kenneth Grant Goble
Kenneth Grant Goble passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Grant was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kenneth Goble and Alice Evelyn Sadler on March 18, 1939. He served an LDS mission in Southern California. He attended LDS Business College and BYU. He also served our country in the US Army. On February 21, 1963 he married his sweetheart and eternal companion Donna Rae Potts in the Manti Temple. Together they celebrated their 50th Anniversary this year. He worked as a systems analyst for over 30 years and retired from working for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1994 due to health issues. In 1998, he received a liver transplant which extended his life another 15 years. We will forever be grateful to the family who was so generous to provide this gift to him and us which came from their loved one who had passed away and was an organ donor. These past 4 years have been difficult for him due to having strokes and other ailments. He endured these last trials of his life well and we are sure our Father in Heaven is pleased with his effort to strive to endure to the end. He is survived by his wife, Donna Rae Goble, his children, Gary (Lona), Kenny (Julie), Tammy Clayton (Dale), Kriste McDonald, Tracy (Lora), Shawn (Lisa), Timothy (Kelsie), 24 grandchildren with the 25th on the way, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Gayle Ord (Neil), William Kent (Kimra). He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gordon (Joan). The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Rocky Mountain Hospice, especially Andrew and Heidi.
