1955 ~ 2017
Kerry Jane Zabriskie passed away November 10, 2017 in West Valley City, UT. She was born April 2, 1955 in Salt Lake City to Robert J. and Nina Elmer Zabriskie.
Kerry worked for 14 years as social worker for the State of Utah a secretary for Magna Water, an office manager for Bondi Metal Works of California and a general manager for Republic Parking. Kerry was very talented at crafts like cross stitching and crochet. Her cross-stitch projects took 1st and 2nd place at the Utah State Fair. Kerry also loved native American art and jewelry. It once took her 3 days to get from Magna to Kanab due to her stopping at every ruin, monument and museum along the way.
Kerry loved the Magna 4th of July celebration and was proud of her membership as a Daughter of the Utah Pioneers. She was responsible for the DUP marker on Highway 201 by Kennecott Copper Corp. She loved to volunteer at the Ethnic and Mining Museum of Magna, where she did bookkeeping and interact with the people that would visit. Kerry loved the outdoors and would camp and fish. She also loved going to Marysvale to ride the Piute Trail. She loved to learn and especially loved to read.
More than anything else she loved her family and spending time with them. Kerry was a fiercely independent woman who loved and lived life the fullest. She would put her heart and soul into every project she took on. She touched the lives of all who met her and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Kerry is survived by her mother; daughter, Amy (Justin) Busby; grandchildren, Sarah (Rodney) Barnes, Elizabeth Busby; brothers, Robert A. (Cheryl) Zabriskie and J. Will (Cindy) Zabriskie; aunt, Thurma Sellers; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
