LaDeen Davis Peterson

LaDeen Davis Peterson was born Nov 1, 1931, in a little house made of logs and railroad ties in Lake Point, Utah to Bert and Nettie Garrard Davis.  She passed away July 24, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.  She married Walter Sexsmith in 1955 later divorced.  Married Darren Reid Peterson in Oct 1963.

She was a very accomplished musician, playing the accordion, organ, and the piano.  She spent many hours in a local band with her brother Marvin and cousins.  She could not read a note of music but could play any song instantly with no mistakes.

Growing up and during most of her life she had little if any money often going without so her young children could eat.  She was a priceless mother, the best you could ever have.  She will be deeply missed by all!

Preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Sexsmith; husband, Reid Peterson; brother, Marvin Davis; and sister, June Garner.

Survived by son, Lani Davis; son, Mickey Peterson (Shawn Fenus); and daughter, Lori Peterson Tarpley (James Tarpley); grandchildren, Cody Tarpley and Mikaela Tarpley; and all her animal friends. Her children and her animals were her life.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 31, 12 noon at the Lake Point Ward Chapel with viewing prior from 11:00-11:45 A.M.

Rest well now you have no pain. Till we meet again, you will be missed by all, always.
