LaRona McAlliser, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Mom was born March 21, 1930 to Leland and Evelyn Christensen in Garfield, Utah. She graduated from Cyprus High School. Mom met the love of her life, Keith McAllister, on a blind date. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 7, 1948 and recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Mom was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings.
Some of mom’s hobbies were crocheting, sewing, shopping and crafts. Family and friends received many beautiful handmade gifts from her.
Mom and dad went on to have four children: Gayle (Jeff) Hill, Boyd, Bob (Debbie) and Kathy (Joe) Andreason; along with 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Family was the true love of her life.
Mom has been released from her mortal body and is able to run, walk and see the beautiful flowers and all the family and animals she loved so much, including her beloved granddog, Konnor.
Funeral services will be held at Hunter Village Ward, 3450 South 6400 West in West Valley City on October 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may visit at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
