Laura Darlene Anderson

Our loving, independent, dearest mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Laura Darlene Ockey Anderson peacefully passed away Wednesday May 10, 2023 surrounded by family. Born February 08, 1939 in Salt Lake City to Catherine Alice Llewelyn Ockey and Horace Rupert Ockey. Married Ronald Anderson on November 5, 1963.

Laura was the beloved mother of 1 son and 4 daughters. She was an inspiring and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters Teresa (Ed) Oveson, Jeanette (Jay) Marshall, Catherine (Jeff) Curtis, and Ronda (Ryan) Belt; sisters Bonnie Ford, Fern (Tom) Booth. She is preceded in death by her son Jeffery Ockey, brothers Kenneth Ockey and William “Rosco” Ockey, sisters Catherine Joyce (Val) Baker, Charlotte Ockey, Jeannine Ockey, and brother-in-law Jack Ford.

Funeral Services will be Saturday May 20,2023 at 12:00 PM at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. Magna, UT 84044. Viewing will be held Friday May 19^th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and an hour prior to Saturday Services.  Burial will be at Pleasant Green Cemetery 9200 W 3500 S Magna, UT 84044. Family asks that in lieu of flowers please donate to Laura Anderson’s funeral fund at any Cyprus Credit Union.
