Laurens Joseph Nak
1931 ~ 2021
Our beloved father, grandfather, and Papa Papa, Laurens (Larry) Nak born March 9, 1931 passed away peacefully on October 26, 2021. Larry was truly a selfless generous man with a heart of gold. He was loved and respected by all that knew him. After immigrating from Holland in 1948 and receiving his citizenship, dad worked in the family furniture business for many years. In his early 50’s dad followed his heart to serve the public as a Salt Lake County Sheriff for Adult Parole and Probation. He was extremely proud of his service and retired after 20 years.
As we go full circle we know in our hearts, you have given your life to the betterment of all that you have touched. Purely, compassionately, joyously in the spirit of love, you have touched: saved, served, helped, taught, housed, feed, loved, and carried thousands. You have prepared us well with your strong example, charismatic love, and generous nature. You bring love and light into our lives, our homes, our children and our world. We are your continuance, and it is with great honor that we carry your name, your ways and your loving spirit into the new millennium. Your loving family.
