Lavern Carter Finch passed away peacefully November 21, 2011 while surrounded by her family. She was born September 18, 1927 in Santaquin, Utah to William and Cora Haskell Carter. She married Joseph Ira Finch March 30, 1945 and later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Lavern's life was her family and grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings. She loved to travel with her husband when he was alive. And she enjoyed sewing and working in cub scounting.

Lavern is survived by her children; Bryan (Diane) Finch, SueAnn (Fred) Gallegos, Douglas Finch, Roger (Alisa) Finch, Clarice Janet Lockaby, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers; Richard Blaine (Eliane) Carter, Lynn (Lynette) Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, 2 brothers.

Graveside services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday November 26, 2011 at the Santaquin Cemetery. A viewing will be held 6-8 pm, Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah. Condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
