Lavonne Jean Nelson Tatro

1924 - 2011

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at home December 17, 2011 in Magna, Utah. Lavonne was born in Kenmare, North Dakota September 4, 1924 and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1945. Working as a welder at the shipyards there she met Tate, the love of her life. They were married April 14, 1946, and had 4 children.

Lavonne and Tate celebrated their 65 ^th Anniversary in 2011 and when he passed away in June 2011 her heart was broken, and now they are together again. She was a devoted wife and mother putting her family above all, her whole life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, working in her yard, sewing, crafts, fishing, hunting and traveling. She was a Saint and the best mother anyone could ever have.

Survived by her 4 children, Paula (Gessel) Tatro, Nancy (Mark) Bateman, Debbie (Scott Petersen) Walker, Lamonte (Cori) Tatro; 6 grandchildren, Shalmaria (Dave Trabucco) Jones, Sharmaine (Brent) Snyder, Justin Bateman, Jessie (Tyler) Zufelt, Jason (Michelle) Walker, Jarrod (Julie) Walker; 8 great grandchildren, Brady and Darcy Jones, Kordell and Sloane Snyder, Alexis Walker, Dylan Laine, Weston Archambault, Tate Zufelt; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Tate; her parents; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

The family would like to thank the Rocky Mountain Home & Hospice Care Staff especially Tracy, Joslyn, Ingrid and the many friends and family for their caring and concern.

Mom, you will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.
