Lawrence Otto Newman

Lawrence O. Newman, passed away peacefully July 10, 2012 while surrounded by his family. He was born August 15, 1922 in Garfield, Utah to Otto and LaVina Jenkins Newman. He married his eternal sweetheart Clea Larsen, April 30, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Lawrence loved hunting, fishing, camping and in his later years painting. He spent many years Scouting and forging the lives of many young men. Most of all he loved his family and they him.

Lawrence is survived by his children, Larry (Joan), Milton (Trudy), Roy (Chrys), Kevin (Lorrane), Launa (LaMar) Larsen, Twila (Ron) Martinez, 30 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister, LaVina Hahn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, LaRea Nebeker, 1 granddaughter, 1 great granddaughter, 1 sister and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be held 11 am,  Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Salt Lake 26 ^th Ward, Emery St. & 5 ^th South. Viewings will be 6-8 pm, Sunday July 15, 2012 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna and 10-10:45 am Monday prior to services at the church. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
