Loralynn Nay

April, 14, 1951 – June 4, 2022

Our mother, Loralynn, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 4, 2022. We are thankful she is no longer in pain or suffering from the cancer that took her.

Our mom loved her parents, brothers, and her daughters, but she adored her grandsons, Hunter, Coty, and Trevor – they were the true loves of her life.

She was happiest when spending time with the boys, carting them and their bikes to every skate park in the valley, taking them to carnivals and amusement parks, Easter egg hunts and haunted corn mazes.

Mom also found so much joy being “Grape Grandma” to Alyluh, Caidyn, Cashyr, and Aiden, and buying them gifts – it was her way of saying, I Love You. They were her “perfect little sweethearts.”

Our mom was an avid reader, especially of thriller and detective-type novels, and she has an impressive book collection to prove it.

A perfect day for mom would be propped up in bed with a hot cup of Earl Grey tea and toast, listening to Elvis, and doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed the simple things in life: a call from a brother or grandson, pecan sandies cookies, playing a puzzle game on her laptop, and hot fudge malts.

Mom was always concerned about others’ happiness – even though she struggled with depression most of her life – and made sure to let us know how proud she was of us, how beautiful or handsome we are, and that we are kind and smart, and to never forget how much she loves us.

We will never forget how much you love us, mom and grandma, and we will always love you.

A short service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:30 AM, followed by a celebration of life and open house until 2:00 PM.
