Lynnette G. Fenwick
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Lynnette G. Peterson Fenwick passed away on January 19, 2020, in West Valley City, UT. She will be missed dearly until that day when we meet again. Born on September 14, 1951 in Ogden, Utah, to Philo Furber Peterson and Grace Geessien Berkenpas, she was the youngest of 10 children. Lynnette had a strong testimony of the gospel and shared this with family and friends. She loved to study the scriptures and learn about the Savior.
She was married to Joseph Chad Fenwick in the Salt Lake Temple on June 11, 1971. They would have celebrated their 49th anniversary this year. Together they had four children. They spent most of their married lives in the Magna, UT area. Lynnette was an amazing teacher, touching the lives of many of her students for 28+ years as she worked in the special-needs groups at Pleasant Green Elementary. She faithfully served in various church callings, from Primary, Young Women, and the Relief Society. She built and painted many sets for ward roadshows, that she also scripted. Many happy memories from these times reside with family and friends today.
Lynnette’s greatest joy was her grandchildren. She spent hours looking for the perfect gifts for birthdays and Christmas, and she always found them. She loved to make crafts and read, and passed this on to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, her four children, Heather Howell (Marvin), Dusty (Kristi), Spencer, Hayley Pettersson (Adam), her ten grandchildren, eight brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and sister Maureen.
A viewing will take place at 11 AM on Saturday February 1st at the Hunter 16th ward, 2811 South 6400 West, West Valley City, UT, followed by services at Noon with internment at Pleasant Green Cemetery.
