Marian Catherine Meisel Smith

1933-2020

Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother Marian Catherine Meisel Smith passed away December 13. 2020 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born in Provo, Utah

on March 10, 1933 to Alphonso John and Agnes Belle {Buckley} Meisel.  Marian was the oldest of six children with four sisters Virginia, Betty, Shirley and Maureen and one brother Alfred.

Marian Catherine Meisel married Donald DeVar Smith August 24, 1953 in Salt Lake City.  They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple December 28, 2002. Together they raised six children.

Marian loved going to Disneyland and the Small World ride was her favorite.   She was a fan of game shows, word search puzzles and bingo.  Marian loved spending time with her family. Marian loved being a mother and grandmother.

Marian is survived by her children, Joey, Douglas (Kathy), Kathy (John) Fackrell, Timothy, Frances (Rick) Bullock, and Laurie (Sam) Carlson.  She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, Christopher, Steven, Randy, Nicole, Jeremy, Michael, Kourtni, Zach, Andrew, Brandon, and Max; 9 great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley, Maureen; and her brother, Alfred.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Donald DeVar; her parents; two sisters, Virginia and Betty.

Services with Zoom will be held at 11 am at Peel Funeral Home, Magna Utah.  Interment at Pleasant Green Cemetery.
