Marilyn J. Cason, 67, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2022. She was born on September 22, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Arthur Fal and Bonnie John. She married Burt Cason in September 1978. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Houston LDS Temple. Burt passed away in 2008. Marilyn was engaged to Stan Plank when he passed away in 2014. Marilyn was very well educated, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. Marilyn loved to travel. She and Burt often went on motorcycle trips, traveling to many different states. She also enjoyed going on cruises to different places. She also loved the many Mother-Daughter-Niece Labor Day weekends, shopping, eating, and hanging out in different places. Marilyn had a very special bond with her many nieces and nephews. She was a life-long member of the LDS Church, holding different callings through the years. Her favorite was teaching primary kids. She served in the Houston Temple. Marilyn is survived by her siblings Eddy (Shirley) John, Bartlesville, OK; Fran (Wayne) Price, Pocatello, ID; Jan (Jerry) King, Riverton, UT; and Wendy (Bill) Wack Brighton, UT; Leon (Kathy) Cheney, Riverton, UT; Anne (Mike) Broderick, Nampa, ID; Steve Cheney, Nampa, ID; Gary (Sherrie) Cheney, Nampa, ID; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Portage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
