Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great -grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Martha Cedelia Herrera left us on June 10, 2012.

She was born July 4, 1935, to Alfredo and Usulita Vallejos in Turley, NM.

She relocated to Utah, in 1963, where she met her husband, Jim in 1964. They married in Elko, NV. June 1, 1965. Their marriage was later blessed in the Catholic Church.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Magna, where she was active in the Spanish Choir.  She was woman of the year in 1991 and Vice President of the Ladies Guild from 1991-1993.  She taught confirmation classes for 8 years and Holy Communion for 6 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; and 7 children, Leroy (Brenda) Vallejos, Frieda Vallejos, Wayne (Lillian) Vallejos, Tony (Carmon) Herrera, Becky (Billy) Mondragon, Rachel (Bob) Horsley, and Tomacita Herrera, 18 grand children and 20 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly and shared brown toppers with.

She is also survived by 6 siblings, Joe (Juanita) Vallejos, Esther (Ernaldo) Herrera, Teresa (Joe) Herrera, Johnny Vallejos, Alfred (Jane) Vallejos and Lloyd (Cordy) Vallejos.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eddy Manzanares, Gilbert Vallejos, Douglas Vallejos, Ronald Vallejos; and sisters, Mary Martinez and Janie Hazen.

The family would like to express our many thanks to family and friends for their continuous love and support.  We would also like to express our gratitude to the Stroke Team of U of U Hospital for their dedicated care that they provided for our wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W., Magna, where friends and family may call Thursday 6-7:30 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 7:30 p.m.  Committal: Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
