"Sonny"

Mel Roy Bridges returned to our Father in Heaven on February 26, 2012. Mel was born June 28, 1933 to Ervin J. and Ruby Lott Bridges in Elsinore, Utah. He married his sweetheart Frances Ann Starley May 27, 1955 in Lark, Utah.

Mel served proudly in the Air Force during the Korean war. He retired from Hill Air Force base after many years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Magna Gun Club. Most of all he loved his family especially his grandchildren also fishing and camping.

Mel is survived by his wife, children, Robert "Buz", Vickie, Marci (Charlie) Reid, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters, Barbara(Elwood) Bird, Pat (Bill) Brian, Janice (Sam), Ware, Sue Ann (Floyd) Madsen, 1 special sister-in-law, Aunt Emo.  He was preceded by his parents, 1 baby brother.

Funeral services will be 10 am, Friday March 2, 2012 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, where a visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday and Friday 9-9:45 am prior to services. Interment: Elsinore Cemetery. Condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
