Ned Daniels

NED ALBERT DANIELS

Ned Albert Daniels returned to his Heavenly Father peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Born August 12, 1925, Soda Springs, Idaho.  Died December 4, 2010, West Valley City, Utah.  Married Marion Reedy on October 11, 1952.  Survived by son's John Daniels, Keith Daniels, and daughter Connie Simpson.  For the last ten years of his life Ned has been in the care of his niece, Kayleen Daniels English.

He proudly served in the United States Marines; Veteran of WWII and the Korean War.  For his service he received the Good Conduct medal, the Korean Service Medal with three stars, the United Nations Service medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation with one star. He worked for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority for about 30 years.  He loves horses and trained many during his lifetime.  In his later life he raised Rottweiler dogs.  He loved little children and would play with them for hours.  He was hard working throughout his life.

The family would like to thank the Rocky Mountain Care facility for all the loving care given to Ned during his stay with them.

Memorial service will be held 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So., Magna, Utah. Interment: 10:00 a.m., December 14, 2010 at Riverside Military Cemetery in Riverside, California.
