Patsy Allred Dea

"Together Again"

MAGNA-Patsy Lavern Allred Dea, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister returned to her Heavenly Father November 8, 2010.  She was born to Orin Grant and Velma Evelyn Zabriskie Allred on her father's birthday October 29, 1940 in Mount Pleasant, Utah.

Patsy grew up in Magna, and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1958.  She married her high school sweetheart, John Brent Dea April 29, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She loved her son, Allen Brent (Traci) Dea and daughter, Tiffany P. Schmidt, and 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Tara, and Nathan Dea, Josh Schmidt Jr., and Alexis Schmidt.  Her children and grandchildren brought joy and happiness into her life.

Patsy worked at many banks and credit unions, and retired from Garfield Credit Union/Transwest.  She was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Whichever of the many different callings she was in was her favorite. She loved having plaques made and donating them to members of her ward. Serving in the music for many years truly brought happiness to her.  She also served in the baptism in the Salt Lake Temple.

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Shannon (Kent) Schlappi and Janet (Harold) Garcia; brother, Gary (Annetta) Allred; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brent; and son, Allen.

She loved life, her country, her family, her church, and the members of her ward.  We know she is with Brent and Allen.

The family would like to thank all who were there to help her, especially Symbii Hospice and her 5 brothers-in-law, David, Larry, Wayne, Tim, and Leon Dea.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 W. 3320 S.  Friends and family may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Friday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
