Patricia “Petey” Ann Kochel

1945 ~ 2016

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Patricia “Petey” Ann Kochel passed away on May 24, 2016. She was born on February 18, 1945 in Kanab, UT to George and Gwynne Atherley. Known as Petey, she was the youngest of three daughters raised in Kanab, Cedar City, Rockville and Price, Utah. Petey’s fondest childhood memories were of Rockville.

Petey married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Painter; they had three children, Chantaye, Lange, and Paige. They later divorced. Petey went on to meet Kurt Kochel, they married in 1971.

She will be missed by her children, family and all that knew her. Petey is survived by 4 sisters, Sheri, Sandy, Monica, Leslie; 2 brothers, Colin and Monte Carlo; 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Seth, Morgan, London, Winter, Charity and Patrick.

Petey loved yardwork, puzzles, reading and working at Goodwill (Dayton, OH).

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 11 ^th from 3:00 to 4:00pm for family and 4:00 to 6:30pm for those who would like to pay their respects at 313 E Fairmont Hill Court, Draper, UT 84020. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
