Together Again

Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2012 at the age of 85. Phyllis was born Aug. 29, 1927 to Wilfred and Evelyn Mitchell. She married Douglas H. Jenkins on Oct. 8, 1947 in the Salt lake LDS Temple, and they made their home in Magna. Phyllis was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. She is survived by her 5 children, Douglas (Janice) Jenkins, Karin (Jeff) Maddy, Barbara Shepherd, David (Yasmin) Jenkins, and Bonnie (Ken) Bass.  She has 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doug; parents; and her siblings, Jack, Barbara, and David; grandson, Christian; and granddaughter, Marci.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 W. 3320 S.  Friends and family may call Thurs. 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Friday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
