Raymond Martinez passed away July 20, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born in Cuba, New Mexico August 27, 1940. Married to Beverly Martinez. Raymond is survived by his wife; children, James (Shawna), Robert, Danny, Phyllis (Tony); mother-in-law, Rose Trujillo; along with 25 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Preceded in death by parents, Ignecio Martinez and Onofre Jaramillo; father-in-law, Levi Trujillo Sr.; sons, Chris, Mike "Boris", Tony "Chapo", Raymond "Chubs"; sister, Cindy; and brothers-in-law, John Medina and Albert Barela. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed helping people, working on cars and really loved going fishing.

Funeral Mass will be held 12 noon Friday, July 25, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W. Viewings will be held Thursday 6-7 p.m., with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m., at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Friday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
