Reginald (Reggie) West Carlson

Reggie Carlson, 69, passed away after a short illness on December 15, 2024 in Ogden, UT. He was born on June 28, 1955, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Gary and Barbara Lyn Carlson.

Reggie was raised in Provo, Utah, and graduated from Provo High. He loved to gather his friends, play basketball and pool, and play rock and roll records. Reg earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Reggie served a mission for the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines. Reggie was a hard worker and was loved by all he worked with. He loved sports, especially BYU football, a love he inherited from his dad. He was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and exemplified unconditional Christlike love. He served in numerous callings including bishoprics, with the youth, and as a minister. Reggie was known to serve in small, silent ways like shoveling sidewalks and taking people to dinner. Reg always had a smile and was always willing to help.

Reggie Married Pam Seely on September 9, 2023, in Ogden, Utah. He was previously married to Terry Bywater and Judy Larsen. 

Reggie is survived by his wife Pam; his children, Greg and Jared Carlson, Mary Beebe, Todd and Kristie Carlson, Tawnya and Jed Rasmussen, Larry and Cheryl Winter, and 22 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Nan and Glenn Garnder, Tom and Tina Carlson, Lib Thatcher, and Jane Perry, and by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. 

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Barbara Carlson; his wives, Terry Bywater and Judy Larsen; and his son, Bryan Carlson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church building located at 571 East 100 North, Ephraim, UT. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. that same day before the funeral.
