Retha E. Jones Gillett

1923-2012

West Valley City, UT - At age 88 Retha passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 23, 2012. She was a very loving and caring person who always showed unconditional love to everyone. She was a companion of 56 years to her Special Angel, Carol Ann. Her family always came first. She was known as Grandma to every kid that came into her neighborhood. She worked in the Civil Service until she retired in 1989. She then went on to help raise her grandkids and great grandkids until 2012. She was dedicated to her LDS faith and held many positions in the church. After 45 years, she is finally reunited with her true love, Keith Gillett.

Retha is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Gillett and Kayleen (Steven) Clark, son, David S. Gillett, daughter-in-law Sherylee Gillett Watson, 13 grandchildren, Mandi, Cherilyn, Nichole, Britney, Abby, Steve Jr., Jessica, Brandi, Candice, Russell, Ashley, Breyden, Austin and 25 great grandchildren. One brother, Ivan Jones and one sister, Renae Putnam. Preceded in death by her husband Keith and son Keith Lynn, parents,3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held May 30, 2012 at 12:00pm at the Hunter 11 ^th Ward, 5000 W Janette Ave (3980 S). A viewing will be held Tuesday evening at Peel Mortuary from 6:00-8:00pm and Wednesday prior to the services from 11:00-11:45 at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
