Richard Alan Aldrich, 33, of Magna, UT passed away at home May, 21 2014, after a courageous battle with MS. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on July 21, 1980, the only son of Lawrence E. and Ludean Brown Aldrich. He grew up in Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School and LDS seminary in 1998. He was an avid camper and fisherman, who loved the outdoors and country music. At the age of 16, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He went on to attend SLCC where he attained his journeyman electrician license and later went on to work for GSL Electric. Richard honorably served 17 months as an LDS missionary in the Italy Milan Mission, where he was diagnosed with rapidly progressive MS. He had a valiant testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and was an example to others through his faith during this physical trial. Rich is survived by his devoted parents, Lawrence E. and Ludean Brown Aldrich, Magna; older sisters, Michelle (Calvin A.) Lundgren, West Jordan; Rachael Hopkins, West Valley and spirited niece and nephews, Adam and Camille Lundgren and Jesse and Wyatt Hopkins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Aileen Aldrich; Kenneth and Beatrice Brown. A special thank you to Dr. James Burns and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their professional and loving services.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the LDS Washington Road Chapel, 7525 W. 3635 S., in Magna, at 11am with a viewing held from 10-10:45am.
