Bob Barton Jr.

1957 - 2010

Beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Robert Doran Barton Jr. passed away unexpectedly at home October 16, 2010 from natural causes.

His dear mother, Sandra and little sister, Tracy missed Bob and came down and brought him back to Heaven with them.

Bob was born June 17, 1957 to Robert Doran and Sandra Backman Barton.

Bob was a member of the LDS Church.  He loved the saxophone, inheriting them from his grandfather, John Backman, who sat in on Louis Armstrong's jam sessions.  He used the name, SAXMAN for license plates, etc.

Bob worked many years for Barton's Builders Mart, the family business, and was an estimator several years for Master Builders Construction.  He loved fishing in Jackson Hole, books, music, movies, sports, the Jazz, and collecting coins and sports cards.  He loved his Armenian heritage and eating the food.  Bob spent many hours researching reptiles with his nephews.

Bob had a knack for entering contests on the internet and winning many prizes.  He started having a love for genealogy after his dear grandmother, Doris asked him to take over for her.  He spent so many hours researching his family lines dating back hundreds of years.  We were so proud of his enthusiasm.

Bob leaves behind his father, Bob Sr.; sister, Jodie (Phil) Hunsaker; brother, Brett (Jena) Barton; and his beloved 8 nephews and 7 nieces.  Bob had a very special relationship with his aunt, Debbie Backman Jensen. He will be dearly missed by the family pets, Kato and Shasta.

Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where friends and family may call Friday 6-7 p.m.  Private interment.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
