Robert Lewis Perkins
1926 - 2012
Lifetime resident of Magna, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend Robert Lewis Perkins left this mortal existence January 31, 2012. He was born to Ray and Lavinia Woolstenhulme Perkins in Magna September 16, 1926.
He served in the US Navy during WWII, including D-Day and Patton's crossing of the Rhine River. He married Louise Borland January 24, 1947. He retired from Hercules as a mechanical engineer after 40 years of service.
Bob and Louise loved traveling, spending winters in Yuma, and with the "good Sam's bunch". Enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing (proud of his hole in one).
Survived by his sweetheart of 65 years, Louise; sons, Rob (Sue), Van, Guy (Sherri); daughter, Lyndee (Greg) White; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; including many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Harold; sisters, Laura, Maxine, and Helen.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Spencer 2 nd Ward, 8059 W. 2700 S. Friends and family may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
