Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Ruth Lessene (Senie) Calhoun Alexander 90, passed through the veil to meet her eternal companion, Leslie (Les), on November 25, 2022. Senie was born October 22, 1932, the only child of Lester and Ruth Beach Calhoun. She married Leslie Alexander August 20, 1950 in Buhl, Idaho and later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple for Time and All Eternity.
Senie described herself as a tomboy, spending much of her childhood enjoying the great outdoors and playing with her many cousins. As an adult she spent much of her time camping, hunting for geodes, gemstones, fossils and 4-wheeling with family any time of the year. She also loved gardening, traveling, crocheting and was a talented artist with a love for oil painting. Senie loved books and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served in various capacities and was always ready to serve others.
She loved her children and grandchildren, her conversations were always about them; unless she could get you to listen to her memories of growing up in Buhl, Idaho and her many other adventures.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leslie W. Alexander; and her beloved oldest daughter Sandy Sheppick. She is survived by her children Shauna (Steve) Johnson, Jan (Larry) Harward, Rick (Sue) Alexander, and Jay (Jackie) Alexander, as well as 20 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
We love you and will miss you Mom, until we meet again.
Our family would like to thank Rachel Luna for her friendship, compassion and excellent care she gave Senie in her final days.
