Sisilia ‘Umukisia Manu Maealiuaki-Fulilangi passed away peacefully on February 14, 2015 at her home in Sandy, Utah. She was born on June 19, 1917 in Vaotu’u, Tongatapu, Tonga. ‘Umu enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Those that knew her will miss her vibrant personality, humor and generous soul. She never passes an opportunity to make someone laugh; give to those in need and once started an educational program for the kids in her village, Vaotu’u Weslyan Elementary School. She is survived by her children, Salote Maumautaimi/(late)Sione Hingano, Tupou Kolotolu Braz, Mafi ‘Uli’uli/(late)Fetaiaki Tu’akoi, Kelepi Maealiuaki/Linda, ‘Akanesi Tonga Laukau/Simione Lomu, Sonatane (Tony) Fulilangi/Mata, Satisi Vunipola/(late)Mele and Lopeti Salt, fourty-five grandchildren, fourty-seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Viliami Maealiuaki Fulilangi; her son Sitiveni Fakatakatu; and parents, Samisoni Manu Puleiku & Mele ‘Ungatea Halaiano.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21 st , 2015. Family Viewing starts 7am. Chapel Service at 11am in Sandy, UT and memorial service will immediately follow at 1pm at the Redwood Memorial Park on 6500 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84123 .
