Sonya Rochelle Hackel, 48, passed away suddenly on February 6, 2020 surrounded by family and friends.
Sonya was born August 5, 1971 in South Carolina. She spent most of her younger years moving from place to place. Sonya happily called Utah her home for the last 20 years, but she will always be a South Carolina girl who loved Clemson Football. She loved fishing at trail lake and camping in the Uintas. Sonya loved her family, friends, and her dogs. Her daughter Kelsey was her pride and joy who she loved to share all her accomplishments and achievements no matter how small. Sonya loved riding on the Harley to new places and taking adventures. Scrap booking her many memories and snapping photos of every precious moment. She was an amazing soul who touched the lives of many with an infectious smile and amazingly talented cooking. She was mom and grandma to all who needed her with a warm hug and big ol’ plate of grub.
Sonya is survived by her beloved husband, Wade Hackel, dearly loved daughter, Kelsey Harmon (George), Mother, Debbie Cromer, twin sister, Tonya Bishop (Nelson), Nephew, Brody, Many cousins’ aunts and uncles.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Doyle Cromer, grandparents, aunt, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Sunday February 16 ,2020 at 11:00 am with a public viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South Magna, Utah. Internment: private. Pastor Tony Black will officiate.
