STANLEY R HOFHEINS
Stanley R Hofheins, 89, died January 8 th 2017 at his home from conditions incident to old age. He was born on February 18, 1927 to James Wilks Hofheins and Roselda Edwards, the 5 th of 9 children. He married Marian Lund on October 25, 1947, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served in the US Navy, WWll. He worked as a Bricklayer and General Contractor. He lived his life in service to his family, his Church, and his fellow men. Until the very end, one of his most oft repeated phrases was “who can we help today?”. Active LDS, Stan loved God and served in many church callings including member of Bishopric, High Counselor, and Temple Worker. He worked hard and made sacrifices all his life so that others could have a better life. He is preceded in death by his wife Marian and son Mark J. Survived by children Pamela Ruth Greening, Danny D (Kaye), Paul Stanley (Susan), Timothy John (LuJean), Elizabeth Ann King (Dan), Rebecca Diane Stewart (Clair), James Wilks ll, 36 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, brother John, sisters in law Vickie Hofheins, Joan Lund. Viewing will be at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah Friday January 13 th 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Services Saturday January 14 th , 2017, Cannon Third Ward LDS Church, 1301 South 1200 West, SLC, 12:00 pm; viewing 1 hour before service. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, Utah. The family would like to thank the caring and professional staffs of the VA Hospital and Millcreek Hospice.
