Steve Maez

Our loving Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and friend returned to our lord peacefully in his sleep on October 16, 2015.  Steve was born September 2, 1969 to Billy and Emma Maes.  Steve married Shawntell Sanchez on April 10, 1993, later divorced.  Together they had two children, Darian Nicole Maez and Gabriel Austin Maez.  He also had a grandson, Forrest who was his pride and joy.  Steve loved his family. He especially loved taking care of his Grandson Forrest.  They would take daily walks together, play trucks and ball.  Steve was known for his big heart, sense of humor and his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Utah Jazz and his Utah Utes!!!  Steve loved to golf, hang out with his friends, fix cars or anything he could get his hands on.  He would do anything for you, give you his last dollar or the shirt of his back.  He will be dearly missed and a void will be left in our hearts.

Survived by his parents, Billy and Emma Maes, children Darian and Gabriel Maez, grandson Forrest, Brother Troy, niece Jessica and nephew Tanian and many cousins, Uncles, Aunts and Friends.

Preceded in death by Grandparents Willie and Maggie Lujan, Miguel and Antonia Maez, brother Billy Patrick, and sister, Stacy.

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday October 23, 2015 at the Magna Christian Church, 8697 W 2700 S, Magna. Visitations will be 6-8 pm Thursday October 22, 2015 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W 2700 S, Magna and 10 – 11am Friday at the church prior to services.
