Timothy Churcher

My dearest love, our adored father, beloved son & brother, gentle friend, and our “Superman”, Timothy Randolph Churcher passed away January 20, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 6, 1962 in Eustis, FL to Leonard Percival and Gloria Shaw Churcher. Married Hollie Backman August 25, 1998 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; their family was later sealed to them forever on August 24, 2002. Tim served on a nuclear submarine in the US Navy, and also served a LDS mission in Ogden, UT. He graduated from UVSC, and his work with MCI and Raytheon took him to all parts of the globe. He is survived by his wife, Hollie; 4 children, Erik, Gabrielle, Samantha, and Braxton; sister, Jennifer Griffith; nieces, nephews, and extended Backman family who love him as their own. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Dr. Lowrance and Dr. Tward, and the special staff at Access Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Elk Run Chapel, 3610 S. 8400 W.  Viewings will be held Friday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Saturday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.
