Travis Wharton

Travis Paul Wharton, 34, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Salt Lake City Utah. He was born on October 31, 1990, in Salt Lake City to Paul  & Kathy Wharton.

Travis was a beloved son, brother & uncle, who left this world with so much love & joy, for his loved ones to remember him by forever!

From a young age, Travis loved tearing things apart & trying to put them together again. He did a lot of self-learning, he really looked up to his dad & would help him work on cars & loved to ride on the bobcat with him. As a young teen, Travis took a lot of interest in his dad's field of concrete work & took a liking to it. He became well known for his skills and accuracy in the concrete field & was given the nickname "Winchester" early in his career. It was rare to see Travis, in his truck without a trowel & muck boots.

Travis was very protective over his sisters & loved them all dearly & wouldn't back down to defend them, he shared a unique & loving bond with each of them. Travis loved his mom dearly & had a tight bond that no one could break. He loved her cooking, especially her homemade foods & her egg gravy. He would call her often to keep in touch and start his conversation by saying" hello my beautiful mother & she would say "hello my handsome son." He loved his grandparents dearly & also his special aunts & uncles, cousins, extended family members & was a great friend to many.

He had a very dear earthly angel named Jane in Twinfalls that he thought the world of! Travis was truly the most kindhearted, genuine man, to those who had the joy to know him, he will be forever loved & missed."

He is survived by his parents, Paul Wharton and Kathy Wharton; his sisters, Trina Arriaga, Trudy & Mike Bagshaw, Traci Wharton; grandparents, Milo & Mavis Wade; nephews & nieces, Austin, Kylie, Riley, Deakin, and Holden; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and Jane, his earthly angel.

Preceded in death by sister, Trisha Wharton; grandparents, Doyle & Diane Wharton; step-grandmother, Ilene; uncle, Glen; and cousin, Trevor.

Till we meet again our precious brave, courageous, giant of a man, we love you waohf (with all our hearts forever)!

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Peel Funeral Home at 8525 W. Magna, Main St.
