Vernon Doyle Quayle

West Valley City, UT-Vernon Doyle Quayle passed away Saturday, April 19 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 26, 1926 to Harry and Thelma Quayle. Married Fae Woodbrey September 10, 1959. Vernon graduated from Cyprus High School, later enlisting in the US Navy.  He retired from Kennecott after 41 years of service. Vernon enjoyed woodworking, road trips and the occasional wild-goose chase. Vernon will be missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Harry and Paul; son, Richard; and grandson, Robert. Survived by wife, Fae; son, Ken; daughter, Leasa Quayle; four granddaughters, Tiffanie Christner, Crystal (Jorge) Montoya, Amber Quayle, and Rheanna Magee; two great grandsons, three great granddaughters, one great-great grandson and one great-great granddaughter; and sister, Leone (Bennett).

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Hunter 9th Ward, 3450 S. 6400 W. Viewings will be held Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, and Wednesday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
