Virginia Lu-Jean Pappas Costanzo Shaw Biediger passed-away on Wednesday Morning January 3 rd 2018 with her husband Douglas by her side. She died from complications to her 4 year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was the Daughter of James G. & Jennett V. Pappas of Hunter/Magna. Utah.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Sister- Gloria Skanchy , and Son Peter J. Costanzo. She is survived by her Husband Douglas Biediger and Brother James S. Pappas, both of Magna.
She was born on Oct 30 th 1933. She was schooled locally, and Graduated from Cyprus High School in 1951, where she was active in the Band, Pep and Drama Clubs. Graduated from Steven Henniger’s Business School in 1954, and worked in the Banking Business (Beehive State Bank) and Savings and Loan Business for many years, before ending her Career at the Salt Lake Diocesan Office’s of the Catholic Church.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, Jan 9, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 W 5215 S Kearns, Utah at 11:30 a.m. – All friends and family are welcome.
A Viewing will be held 6-7 P.M. Monday at the church with a Rosary Service at 7 P.M. Jan. 8, 2018. Committal services will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, in SLC, Utah.
She was a proud member of the Magna Community, where she lived all of her life.
She ran for Miss Magna in 1952, She sang in the Choir at Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church in Magna, where she was active as Hostess at the Yearly Spaghetti Dinners and many other church & youth activities for many years.
She was a very Generous and a Loyal Friend. She will be missed by those who truly knew her well.
