Wayne LaMar Sandall

Ivins, Utah- Wayne Lamar Sandall 88, left his Earthly home on June 18, 2023.

He was the oldest of two, born in Magna, UT on February 9 1935 to Steven Lamar (Curly) Sandall and Muriel Dimond Sandall Corfield.  He attended Cyprus High School where he graduated and married his high school sweetheart, LaVelle Hill in 1953.

In his younger years he worked for Kennecott Copper, Bosch Cleaner and FamLee Bread. In 1961 he joined Associated Food Stores and worked in the Health & Beauty Department, after which he became General Merchandise Manager in 1969.  In 1978, Wayne was able to start an independent sales rep business that went on to become very successful thanks to the help of his wife LaVelle and three children. Aladdin Thermos being the first line, among many, that he represented.  The family business was sold in 1997, at which time Wayne was able to retire and enjoy his free time travelling, golfing, and serving in the Salt Lake Temple with Lavelle until her passing in 2006.

In 2007, Wayne found love again and married his companion, Gwen Weaver Sandall. They enjoyed many adventures together, winding up calling Ivins home in 2012, where they had a shared love for serving the Lord in the St. George Temple.

Survived by his wife Gwen; children Jeff (Christine) Sandall; Stacey (Bruce) Anderson; Steve (Joann) Sandall; and Sandra (Jennie) Sandall.  Step-children Glory (Scott) Galbraith; Geff (Wendy) Weaver; and Lance (Christy) Weaver. Seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Sister Michelle (Jerry) Yeates; brother in-laws Val Simmon; Kirk (Suzanne) Hill and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife LaVelle; sister, Lynn Sandall Keil; youngest daughter, Shellie Lynn Loutensock; granddaughter in-law, Mary Sandall; great grandson, Desi Chitty; and grandson, Joseph Jerald Weaver.

Funeral service will be held Saturday June 24, 2023 at 12 noon with a viewing 1 hour prior to service at Peel Funeral Home,8525 W 2700 So Magna, Utah. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. 4400 W 4100 So.
