William "Keith" Rushton

William "Keith" Rushton passed away peacefully at home with his wife and family by his side on December 24, 2024, in West Valley City, Utah.

Keith was born on May 31, 1939, to George E. and Lora Peterson Rushton in Murray, Utah. 

Keith married Nancy Kinder in Elko, Nevada on May 3, 1959. He worked at Kennecott for 37 years and retired in 1995.

His family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed family time with them. He loved spending time at his cabin with his friends and family, sitting on the deck. His companion dog, Smokey was with him everywhere he went, to the last. 

Survived by his wife, Nancy Kinder Rushton; children, Vickie Marsden, Wendy (John) Nelson, Brian (Tonya) Rushton, Shaun Rushton; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Rushton; and grandson, David Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on January 3, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main Street, Magna, UT. We welcome family and friends to join us for a viewing before the funeral, from 10:00 to 11:15 am.
