William Sherman

William T. Sherman , 88, of Magna,UT, formerly of Solon, NY, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017, at home in Magna,Utah.

Born in Summerhill, New York on September 26, 1928, son of the late Bertha and William T Sherman).  He raced stock cars for many years.  He came to Utah in 2005 and lived with his daughter, Barbara.  He was currently a member of the Allstar Senior and 49er Bowling leagues. He rolled his first ever 300 game at the age of 79.  He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

He is survived by his children, Diana Stare of Las Vegas, NV, Barbara Sherman of Magna, UT, Sheryle Rosier of Fort Pierce, FL, and Brenda (Roger) Allen of Solon. NY.  He leaves behind 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great -great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Sherman in 2000. and a son William F Sherman in 1993. There will be a viewing 2-4 pm Saturday, January 14 2017, Peel Funeral Home 8525 W 2700 S, Magna.  Friends may visit with the family following the viewing at Barbara’s home at 7223 Gardenia Avenue in Magna.
