JAMES LAWSON
1948 ~ 2021
James Arthur Lawson was the first child to Earl and Darlene. He was a happy and loving child.
Growing up Jim loved to read, listen to music, and received the best grades. As an adult Jim modeled, took photos for the newspaper of the sports games in town, worked at the airport and met many celebrities on flights, and then worked for the Utah State liquor commission where he made many friends and retired. After retiring he worked part time for 10 years to help his niece run her business.
Jim loved to give and make others happy. He had 7 nieces that he adored and helped raise. He loved reading to them, taking them to the newest Disney films that would come out, going to the theater and seeing a play, taking them for lunch and ice cream, and just spending time with them. Jim loved attending any plays or sports his nieces and nephews were doing and he was their number one fan and he never failed to cheer them on. When the great nieces and nephews came along he was there to make sure they were spoiled and knew how much he loved them. When his parents became elderly he was there to take care of them and their every need. Jim looked forward to the holidays and helping in making them special. To Jim his life was all about family and making sure the kids were happy.
When the M.S. was getting to the point of unbearable pain, Jim did not let that slow him down and kept a positive attitude of just pushing forward with life. He kept in touch with everyone up to the day before he passed. Jim is now in heaven and out of pain. He is our angel watching over us.
Jim did not want a funeral, but rather a Celebration of Life. The family would love to see everyone who would like to come. For location, date, and time contact Sherrie Jex at 801-694-5231.
